Booster pumps increase water pressure and flow rate in a water system.
Pressure boosting is determined by the existing conditions and the demand pressure. The desired pressure above the existing, and the amount on flow necessary, are the key factors.
For instance, some systems are required to produce a high-pressure boost with a modest amount of water. Another may need to boost a large volume such as a housing development may require while only adding 5 to 10 psi to the flow. Some systems are designed to store fluid at a higher pressure for times when it is demanded. While others using variable speed technology provide a given amount of boost to a wide range of demand flows.
At Webtrol, we cater to the demand of the project. We understand the need of boosters of single stage to boosters of 40+ stages while offering constant flow or constant pressure on demand.
Webtrol EZ Series Booster Pumps range from about 3 gallons per minute to near 40 gallons per minute while boosting pressure by over 500 psi. These pumps are ideal for the water treatment and medical industries which require high pressures through filters and membranes for purity.
Webtrol NV Vertical Boosters provide flow from 3 gallons per minute through 600 gallons per minute while boosting pressures up to 465 psi. These pumps are also used in water purification as well as water systems in high rise buildings and fire suppression systems. Because of the space saving design, pumps are often placed in parallel and controlled by a single device to provide a wide variety of flow and pressure combinations.
The Webtrol HT Series Booster Pump is a higher flow horizontal pump. It is capable of flows up to 100 gallons per minute and pressures to 780 psi. This pump is popular in water treatment systems used in disaster areas, car washes and desalination systems.
Webtrol TC Series and FC Series are single stage stainless steel centrifugal pumps. Flows range from 10 gallons per minute to around 650 gallons per minute. These pumps can boost pressure by 120 psi. They are used from home pressure systems to larger developments for boosting water pressure, water treatment and often some corrosive fluids. Being a single stage pump, there are few parts to maintain.
Webtrol PC Series pumps are a corrosion resistant composite pump which ideal for pumping product that is not compatible to metals. This pump can boost pressures by nearly 50 psi and flows up to 60 gallons per minute.
All Webtrol booster pumps can be designed to operate with Variable Frequency Drives. VFDs maintain pressures based on demand flow to provide a water system that is always consistent. These devices can network with another drive and allow two or more pumps to work together giving each the same amount of work and providing backup for high demand for high demand systems.
