A large hotel in New York City was in danger of not having water on Thanksgiving due to a failing pump. A potential disaster for sure.
The failing domestic water booster pump was going to force the hotel to relocate their entire holiday reservations if the building lost water pressure.
So when we received an emergency call for a 50 HP vertical booster pump on Tuesday, our Webtrol team was challenged to get a new pump to the hotel by Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.
Customer service worked closely with our client to ensure all details were correct on this fast turnaround. They ensured the right configuration of the NV Series Vertical Booster pump and set the timetable for a quick delivery.
Our production team rose to the occasion and adjusted their schedule and workflow to build the pump. The 180 GPM, 50 HP pump was assembled and tested. At the same time, a heavy duty crate was being built to protect the 1,000 lb pump from being damaged.
The completed pump was shipped by noon on Wednesday, and the hotel had their new pump on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. Problem solved.
“I was amazed a pump that large was available so quickly, it saved the day.”
